We will start the Inca Trail 4 Day Tour at 6:30 AM. our guide will pass by the hotel and then transport them by bus to Km. 82 where we will be arriving at approximately 10:00 a.m. In this place we will have the pleasure of meeting the team of people who will accompany us during our trekking, such as porters, carpenters, cooks, etc. We will start the walk.
This first day is quite easy in the first Km., We will have a beautiful view of the snowy Veronica and we will walk next to the Vilcanota river until we reach the archaeological group of Patallacta, where we can have lunch to recover forces and then continue until we reach Huayllabamba, where We will make our first camp. (Lunch dinner)
After a comforting breakfast, our second day of trekking will begin, perhaps the most difficult, since we will have to ascend to the opening of Warmihuañusca, at 4,200 masl. In this place, the highest of the Inca Trail 4 Day Tour, we can enjoy a view Panoramic view of the snowy mountains that surround the Abra. After lunch the descent to the Pacaymayo valley begins, where we will make our second camp.
This is the most impressive day so far; Keep it in mind while ascending on the third day! We get up for breakfast at 6 in the morning and start the day with a gentle climb to visit the archaeological site of 'Puyupatamarca' (meaning 'Village in the Clouds'). Here we reach the third highest point of the Inca trail (3680m /). The views of the mountains, the canyons and the surroundings are spectacular! The Inca site of 'Puyupatamarca', is a few minutes walk from the third step. After visiting this site, we continue down 3000 stairs through the cloud forest to the impressive Inca agricultural site of 'Intipata'. After taking some time to visit this site, we continue until we reach our third Wiñay Wayna camp. (2680m / 8792ft). Today we will only walk 4 to 5 hours. We arrived at the camp at lunchtime! The temperatures during the night are about 12º C. A short walk from our campsite is the famous Inca site of 'Wiñay Wayna' ('Forever Young'). Even if you feel tired after your day of hiking, it's a time you can't miss, the most impressive site on the 4 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Very early in the morning, after breakfast we will continue the last part of the 4 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu until we reach Intipunku (Puerta del Sol) from where we will have a spectacular view of the sunrise in the Inca city Machu Picchu, after a short break, we will descend for an hour until the Inca city, "immediately free time to use the Hygienic services, or a short rest", At the time indicated by our tour guide we will have a guided tour of the Inca city, We will visit the most important venues such as the Main Square, the Temple of the 3 windows, the IntiWatana “Sola clock”, etc. Then you can explore the mysterious city at your own pace.
After a while, we take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where he will meet his guide.
